About WAYVE
We were never interested in following the blueprint.
WAYVE was founded in Jamaica in 2020 by Demari McKoy.
It began with clothing. But the idea was always bigger than clothing.
WAYVE was created around a belief in individuality — that the most interesting people are often the ones willing to question what everyone else accepts as normal.
People who think for themselves.
People who move with intention.
People who build their own definition of success.
People who create their own reality.
That is the WAYVE.
Rooted in Jamaica.
Jamaica is part of our foundation. Not as a theme. Not as a marketing device. As a point of view.
Growing up here means understanding that influence does not always travel in one direction. Culture moves. Ideas move. Music moves. Style moves.
We take that energy with us. WAYVE is Jamaican-born, but it was never intended to exist inside one border.
The clothing
We approach clothing with the same mindset that shaped the brand from the beginning: nothing unnecessary. Nothing accidental.
Fit matters. Fabric matters. Construction matters. The way a garment sits on the body matters.
Our offerings move between everyday essentials and more considered statement pieces, always with an emphasis on silhouette, proportion and the feeling of the finished garment.
We are not interested in producing clothing simply to fill a rack. We want each release to have a reason to exist.
The world around WAYVE
As WAYVE continues to evolve, so does the world around it. Clothing is one part of it. Footwear, objects, experiences, collaborations and private access are part of the wider picture.
Through THE VAULT, we also work with partners in Hong Kong who leverage their international network to source quality footwear and make selected styles available to select members at fair prices.
Different categories. Same philosophy. Everything should feel considered.
The WAYVE is still being written.
There is no final version of us. Every capsule, every collaboration and every person who becomes part of our community adds something to the story.
We are interested in evolving. In taking what exists, questioning it, and deciding where to go next.
WAYVE is not about dressing like everyone else. It is about knowing who you are — and having the courage to move accordingly.
Define your own reality.— Demari McKoy, Founder & Creative Director
